Jake Edwards enters his first year coaching at CCS, bringing 15 years of experience in his sport. A former athlete at Hartfield Academy, Coach Edwards values the personal, Christ-centered atmosphere at CCS and is dedicated to fostering both athletic and spiritual growth in his student-athletes.

Danny White enters his first year at CCS as associate head coach and defensive coordinator. Coach White previously served as defensive coordinator at Madison-Ridgeland Academy from 2016 to 2025, contributing to three state championship titles (2019, 2020, and 2021). Prior to MRA, he was the defensive coordinator at Belhaven University (2003–2014) and served on staff at his alma mater, Southwest Baptist University (1999–2002), where he played football, ran track, and earned his Master of Arts in Education. A native of St. Clair, Missouri, Coach White resides in Jackson with his wife, Tamah, and their daughters, Abigail and Amelia.

Anna Wise enters her second year coaching at CCS and her fourth year of coaching overall. Before joining CCS, Coach Wise coached at Logos International School in Cambodia, guiding student-athletes through international competition. Coming from a coaching family—with both her father and brother in the profession—Coach Wise loves helping athletes grow in confidence on the court while reminding them that their ultimate identity and worth are found in Christ.

Joining the CCS coaching staff this school year to coach two sports, Alford Hill played collegiate baseball at Copiah-Lincoln Community College and Mississippi Delta Community College. Coach Hill looks forward to building meaningful relationships with students and staff while contributing to the Christ-centered culture of CCS athletics.

Allie Singleton enters her fourth year at CCS and her second season as head coach. With 20 years of cheerleading experience, Coach Singleton competed at the All-Star and high school levels in Jacksonville, Florida, and worked as a camp instructor for the Universal Cheerleading Association (UCA). She is passionate about leading a program where honoring the Lord through effort and love for one another comes before trophies.

Coach Lycette has been teaching and coaching for 39 years including stops at Woodland Hills Baptist Academy, Kirk Academy, Jackson Academy, and Northwest Rankin High School.

He has served as a Football Coach, Baseball Coach, including 9 years as Head Coach, and Head Bowling Coach.

In his coaching tenure, Coach Lycette has won 2 State Championships in baseball as Head Coach, 2 Football State Championships as Defensive Coordinator, and has most recently won a State Championship in Bowling as Head Coach.

In 9 years as Head Baseball Coach, he was named Conference Coach of the Year 5 times and selected by the Clarion Ledger as Metro Coach of the Year. As Bowling Coach, he was named MHSAA Boy’s State Coach of the year as well as chosen as the top coach in 8 states, designated as NFHS Region 3 Boy’s Bowling Coach of the Year.

Coach Lycette has led the Fellowship of Christian Athletes huddles every year of his career. In 2018, he was selected as the recipient of the Bill Buckner Impact Award and most recently chosen to receive the 2025 “Boo Ferriss” Award, given by the Fellowship of Christian Athletes to one coach in Mississippi who demonstrates high character and Christian influence on athletes.

I love teaching my students the lifelong skill of strength training and conditioning. It gives me so much joy when I see my students gaining confidence and when their effort in the weight room translates to success toward a particular goal or sport. So thankful to the Lord for allowing me to have a small part of their growth!

I had coaches who poured into me in High School and College; I feel a calling to do the same.

Entering her seventh season as the track team’s throwing coach and her seventh year at CCS, Mandy Proctor brings extensive competitive experience to the program. She competed in discus, shot put, and javelin for seven years in Montana, reaching district, divisional, and state competitions. Coach Proctor is dedicated to teaching technical skills, mentoring athletes outside the classroom, and helping students learn lasting life lessons through athletic competition.

I love coaching soccer because it’s an opportunity for me to pass on all the knowledge I have gained both as a player in Scotland and as a coach. I love coaching soccer for those light bulb moments where a player learns a new skill or improves tactically on the field.

With 15 years of coaching experience at CCS, Angie Deleon is dedicated to fostering athletic development and sportsmanship among student-athletes. An avid tennis player for over 25 years, coach Deleon possess extensive knowledge of the game, which she bring to her coaching and mentorship.

In addition to her coaching responsibilities, coach Deleon serves as the Director of Junior Tennis at the Mississippi Tennis Association (MTA), a position she have held for six years, and has been affiliated with the MTA for a total of 15 years. Prior to her tenure at CCS, she coached at Bailey Middle School for three years.

Coach Deleon is continually inspired by the unwavering support from the school staff and parents at CCS. The student-athletes she has had the privilege to coach are exemplary athletes and supportive teammates, and she takes pride in witnessing the ongoing growth and improvement of our teams each season.

I love being able to train and coach with biblical principles to a great group of kids with a strong Christian foundation.

Hayes Dale has served as the CCS swim team coach and organizer since 2023. A former Jackson-area summer league swimmer and coach, she spent 12 years supporting her children with the Makos Swim Team. Coach Dale values how swimming combines personal goal achievement with teamwork, and she loves supporting CCS student-athletes as they grow in their faith and athletic abilities.

One thing I love about coaching at CCS is that we are very successful in athletics and have high standards, but we realize that athletics is not ultimate. We want our students and athletes to glorify the Lord in everything they do, and that is our primary focus.

Coaching at CCS is so special because it allows me to share the love of Jesus with my athletes. Additionally, the families at CCS align with my personal values and share similar goals for their children.

With 15 years of involvement in basketball, Tyler Thiessen is in his fourth year teaching and coaching at CCS. Coach Thiessen played basketball at Sterling College for two years before serving as a student-assistant coach. He values combining his love for ministry with athletic instruction, focusing on building strong relationships with student-athletes on and off the court.

I love CCS because it encourages student-athletes in every way — spiritually, mentally, and physically. What a blessing to be able to encourage kids to play hard and do it with a Christ-like attitude.

While being part of a program at its foundation can have many challenges, those challenges are much easier because we got to step into a flourishing school and athletics culture at CCS. This culture is fueled by the supportive families and athletes at CCS!

Coaching gives me the chance to build meaningful relationships with my players and serve as a mentor both on and off the court. It’s an opportunity
to pour into them spiritually, helping them grow in their faith while also developing their skills as athletes.

I love coaching at CCS because I have the freedom to tell my players about God! It is great to strive to improve every day and have a winning goal in each specific sport, but it is way more important to have the mission of loving one another and telling others about what Jesus did for us.

Coaching at CCS is more than just teaching a sport — it’s about helping young people grow into strong, confident leaders both on and off the field. I love being part of a community that values faith, character, and hard work. Watching our athletes push themselves, support each other, and grow not just as players but as individuals is one of the most rewarding parts of my job. There’s something really special about the family atmosphere here — it makes every practice and every game something to look forward to.

CCS has a supportive athletics department and wonderful students. The players have great attitudes and work hard. I also love being able to pray with and for my players.

Now in her fourth year at CCS and seventh year of coaching, Brittney Felder brings a wealth of athletic experience and passion to the program. Having played at Thompson High School in Alabaster, Alabama, Coach Felder views sports through a biblical worldview—encouraging her athletes to work hard, strive for excellence, and honor the Lord in all they do.

Loves coaching at CCS because of the wonderful environment for athletics at CCS! We have a supportive student body that encourages all kids to participate in any and all sports. Their team goal is always to honor God in everything they do, and that is a goal that is special to me!
