A Message from the Athletic Director

Sports have played a significant role in the lives of young men and women throughout history. Sports provide the structure and opportunities for students to learn valuable lessons that will serve them throughout their lives, such as teamwork, leadership, sacrifice, and diligence. At Christ Covenant School, we have the unique opportunity for these lessons to be paired with the transforming power of the Gospel and to partner with our families through times of defeat and times of victory.

Christ Covenant School is in a season of growth and our athletics offerings are no different. We are fortunate to expand our high school athletics offerings quickly while building upon a history of success at the elementary and junior high levels. We are constantly seeking more ways to develop our coaching staff, facilities, and sports offered to successfully bolster the mission of Christ Covenant School.

I hope that the information provided here will give you a more complete understanding of all that is going on at Christ Covenant School and how you and your family can be involved, whether as a participant, spectator, or volunteer. We remain committed to excellence in all areas and are grateful for the continued support of our families as we take these meaningful steps. Truly, the Lord continues to do more than we could ask or imagine in the life of our school – a constant reminder of His provision and guidance.

Go Warriors!

CCS Foundational Athletic Principles

At CCS, our athletics program is built on three guiding principles: to be God-honoring, family-first, and virtue-driven. These principles set us apart as we pursue excellence both on and off the field.

We view sports as a gift from our Creator—an opportunity to glorify Him through our talents, teamwork, and competition. Our coaches model Christ-centered leadership, encouraging athletes to use their God-given abilities in ways that reflect gratitude and bring glory to Him.

CCS prioritizes the partnership between school and family. By balancing athletic demands with family life, we foster unity and ensure students thrive in all areas. We intentionally schedule no events on Sundays, preserving time for worship, rest, and togetherness.

We believe athletic competition is a
meaningful arena to cultivate God-honoring
virtues—each rooted in biblical truth and
essential for life-long discipleship:

  • Wisdom – Making sound decisions under pressure; knowing when to lead, when to listen, and how to  respond with discernment on and off the field
  • Temperance – Exercising self-control in the face of challenge and triumph; showing humility in victory and grace in defeat
  • Justice – Treating teammates, opponents, and officials with fairness, respect, and integrity; upholding what is  right regardless of the outcome
  • Courage – Stepping up with boldness in adversity; persisting through pain and fear; standing firm in faith when it matters most

By pursuing these virtues, our athletes are
equipped not just to compete, but to lead with
moral strength and Christlike character.

Our commitment to these principles has led to both personal and collective achievements. From district championships to state titles, our athletes and coaches exemplify perseverance, teamwork, and integrity. With ten collegiate-level athletes on staff, our coaches understand the balance of excelling in sports while prioritizing faith and family.

As we grow, our vision extends beyond expanding facilities. We seek to create opportunities for students to excel, families to connect, and our community to unite under the shared purpose of glorifying God.

Athletics at CCS isn’t just about winning; it’s about shaping lives and building a legacy that honors God, strengthens families, and equips students for life.
